چکیده:

we present a methodology to monitor the state of crack -containing composite structures subjected to time -varying loadings . Adopting a simple test set – up , we focus on slowly varying loading conditions and show that low – cost commercial off – the – shelf MEMS accelerometers can display a noteworthy sensitivity to the length of a growing crack. through comparison with finite element simulations we also assess the robustness and accuracy of the proposed methodology.
