چکیده:

In this study, polypropylene powder was surface treated using oxygen plasma and corona discharge treatment (CDT).Tests, included yellow index measurement, evaluation of PP powder behavior in water, contact angle, ATR-FTIR spectroscopy and lap shear strength measurements. The results also indicated that yellow index was increase for corona treated PP samples. Contact angle of PP powders has changed which is carried out after treating. Assessment of PP powder behavior in water clearly showed wettability differences between untreated and treated powder. The ATR-FTIR spectra showed an increase in the carbonyl and hydroxyl group’s concentration after modification of PP powder. These polar groups led to an improvement in adhesion between aluminum and PP substrate
