چکیده:

In photovoltaic power systems where a set ofseries-connected photovoltaic arrays is connected to atraditional two-level inverter, the incidence of partial shadesor the disharmonic of photovoltaic arrays leads to areduction of the power generated from its potentialmaximum. In this paper capability between Cascade H-Bridge(CHB) Multilevel Inverter and Diode-Clamped MultilevelInverter (DCMLI) to overcome this problem is compared. Acontrol of Pulse Width-Modulation (PWM) scheme is usedto trigger the gate of the thyristor. The PWM switchingtechnique in fifteen–level CHB Multilevel Inverter andfifteen-level DCMLI has been implemented inMATLAB/Simulink software package and total harmonicdistortion (THD) is compared.
