چکیده:

Titree single-layer common types of lattice steel domes were seismically studied to introduce the more appropriate type for seismic areas. The domes were of 40m span, with height-to-span ratios of 1/2, 112.5113, 114, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7 and 1/8. At first the domes were designed nnder gravity loads. Then, equivalent static, spectral, and Time History Analysis (THA) methods were used. THA by using both near- and far-source records show that the stress ratios in the considered domes subjected to near-field earthquakes are higher than far field earthquakes, and that Ribbed domes have better seismic behaviorthan Schwedler and Diamatic domes
