چکیده:

recent studies on near fault ground mtions have shown that normal components of these motions have unique characteristics which leads to different behavior of the structures larger responses such as base shear superstructure acceleration , and base displacement are observed for isolated structures subjected to near fault motions in comparison with those far away from active faults. in fact this difference is caused by the pulse type ground motions .
