چکیده:

Image segmentation remains one of the major challenges in image analysis. It is a very important process for multimedia access. Multimedia databases use segmentation for the storageand indexing of images. Many segmentation algorithms have been developed for various applications. This paper presents a way tosegment image by applying k-means clustering. A well known fact is that after applying the k-means algorithm the output imagecontains a lot of noise. This is why the image is then filtered with a Gaussian blur filter. Simulation results show the development of kmeans clustering over Colored image which segmented parts with different colors are ensued.
