چکیده:

The present study dealt with biosorption of cadmium ions on tangerine peel as a function of pH, biosorbent dosage and contact time. The biosorption of cadmium on tangerine peel was investigated by the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. For the biosorption of the both metal ions, the Freundlich isotherm model fitted the equilibrium data better than the Langmuir model. The Langmuir monolayer capacity of the biosorbent was 45.44 (mg/g) for Cd(II) ions. The results suggest that tangerine peel can be used effectively for the removal of Cd(II) ions from wastewaters
