چکیده:

In this paper, axisymmetric bending analysis of a first order shear deformable, two directional functionally graded circular plate is carried out. Nonhomogenous material properties of the plate are assumed to vary in the radial and through the thickness directions obeying an exponential law. Governing equations of the first order shear deformable plate with the material properties graded through the thickness direction are directly derived and solved analytically. In order to carry out the bending analysis of the two directional graded plate, it is divided into number of annular plates. Material properties of each annular plate are defined according to the grading law both in the radial and through thickness directions corresponding to the position of the center of the annular plate. Results obtained are then compared with the reported results and the finite element calculations which are found to be in good agreement
