contact type of arc and seam wall is an important factor to achieving a low defect and high quality weld presence of lack of fusion LOF and lack of penetration LOP dilution and HAZ width are directly related to this factor the weld will be susceptible to LOF OR LOSING THE ENERGY OF THE ARC ON THE WALL IF THE ARC EDGE DOES NOT MATCH WITH MOLTEN POOL EDGE IN THIS PAPER contact point of arc and seam walls were determined deposit rate input parameter of process and seam geometry were used to calculate amount of melt filling of seam weld . finally by using this method losing of energy in elting of walls without filling by melt and LOF would be prevented.
