چکیده:

Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) are made up of highly interconnected layers of simple neuron-like nodes. That is an information processing paradigm, inspiring bythe way biological nervous systems process information. An attractive property of Artificial Neural Networks is that given the appropriate network topology, they are capable of learning and characterising non-linear functional relationships[1]. An specific Neural Network structure has to learn which output value has to produce for given inputs. Networks are trained using a learning rule by presenting the network with training data.[2] Applications ANNs have broad applicability to real world problems. In fact they have already been successfully applied in many industries.They are well suited for prediction or forecasting needs, for example: Neural Networks are currently a hot research area in medicine. At the moment ,theresearch is mostly on modeling parts of the human body and recognising diseases from various scans. ANNs are used experimentally to implement electronic noses, that have several potential application in telemedicine.Telemedicine is the practice of medicine over long distances via a communication link. Networks are becoming increasingly part of speech and vision recognition systems.They are used as a system component,in conjunction with traditional computers. As Neural Network chips become available, the possibility of simple cheap systemswhich have learned to recognise simple entities, may lead to their incorporation in toys and washing machines etc
