چکیده:

Analytical solutions are obtained for temperature profile and Nusselt number in forced convection of viscoelastic fluid obeying the laminar Giesekus constitutive equation between parallel plates.The flow is considered to be both hydrodynamicaly and thermally fully developed. In thisinvestigation the effect of viscous dissipation has also been taken into consideration. One of the plates is stationary and a constant heat flux is acting as boundary condition. The other plate moves with constant velocity and is insulated. The effect of Weissenburg number, mobility parameter ( a ) and Brinkman number on the temperature profile and Nusselt number are investigated. The results show that heat transfer increases by increasing fluid elasticity and extensibility of viscoelastic fluids
