چکیده:

The sweet potato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci Gennadius (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), is the mostimportant pest of cucumber and other vegetable in the world including Iran. Because of highreproduction rate and rapid development, this insect has a potential to develop resistance to manyclasses of insecticides. One of the ways to delay pest resistance is application of alternative insecticideswhich belong to different classes. Therefore, study of new insecticides is essential. In this study, theeffect of Neemarin® (a new botanical insecticide) was compared with Imidoclopride, Thiamethoxam+lambda-cyhalothrin (Eforia®) and pyretrum (Pyretrum®) in a completely randomized block design withfour replications, in cucumber greenhouses in Tehran and Bouhsher provinces. Each treatment wasapplied only once through spraying. Water was used as a control. Results showed significantdifferences in mortality rates between treatments, 14 days after application. The highest mortality rates,76.13 and 73.9%, were observed on Neemarin® and Pyretrum®, respectively
