Devices for storage the electrical energy have become increasingly attractive. Fuel cell is a clean and efficient source of electricity. In order to bring up the system efficiency, a control method for maximum power point tracking of fuel cell system is needed. In this paper a fuzzy maximum power point tracking method is proposed for PEM fuel cell (PEMFC’s). A PEMFC system including of an MPPT controller is studied, also simulation work dealing with MPPT controller, a DC/DC boost converter feeding a resistive load is achieved. In this paper, simulation model of PEMFC system’s maximum power point tracking based on the fuzzy control method is developed in the MATLAB software. The simulation result of designed fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is compared with a basic P&O controller. Significant extracted results are given to prove the validity of the proposed PEMFC’s system control scheme. The results show that FLC has better response time, less oscillation and much more accurate tracking.
