چکیده:

This paper presents a highly linear active mixer for UMTS applications. Three source-degenerated differentialpairs are used in transconductance stage to reduce the secondand third-order distortion components. Analysis of the proposed transconductance is presented to examine the effectiveness of the new technique. Simulations in a0.18 um CMOS technology demonstrate that IIP3 and IIP2 of the proposed mixer have 6dB and 16dB improvements,respectively, compared with the conventional Gilbert-type mixer with the same power consumption.
