Micro flow has become a popular field of interest due to the advent of micro electromechanical systems. In present study, a Multi Relaxation Time Lattice Boltzmann Method (MRT-LBM) is applied to simulate the two-dimensional flows in micro geometries. The choice of using LBM for micro flow simulation is a good one owing to the fact that it is based on the Boltzmann equation which is valid for the whole range of the Knudsen number. In this work, MRT-LBM is applied to simulate micro cavity and micro channel flows at different Knudsen numbers of 0.001, 0.01, and 0.1. The numerical results are compared well with those obtained by others in the literatures. It is concluded that the MRT-LBM is an efficient approach for simulating the micro flow problems.
