چکیده:

A Mobile Ad-hoc Network consists of a set of mobile hosts which can autonomously communicate with each other. Typically, each node serves as a router to find a multi-hop route from the source to the destination. A cellular network is based on preexisting infrastructure, though each mobile node can independently move and communicate in a restricted coverage zone. As MANETs have a ubiquity characteristic, they may be in the coverage of cellular networks in many cases and it is possible to integrate these networks to enhance effective mutual performance. This paper proposes a fuzzy-based scheduler for integrated cellular and Ad-hoc networks. This scheduler assigns each data packet a priority index. To reduce control packets transmission in cellular network a predicative node location method is proposed. Evaluation in terms of the quantitative metrics such as average end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, and scalability confirm that this method is able to satisfy the expected metrics in MANETs
